It was a book club assignment that I put off reading until the last possible moment, then I couldn't put it down! It turns nonfiction facts into an interesting story that reads like a novel. You can feel the years of research and obsessive commitment that went into the writing of this book. It's also a story that needs to be told. Absolutely fascinating. And very well written. My entire book club LOVED it, and we're fiction lovers, not nonfiction lovers. I guess I can stop saying I hate nonfiction.
